Mr. Obiri-Agyei Boakye has over 14 years experience in the field of mechanical and reliability engineering, which cuts across the mining industry (Anglogold Ashanti), Beverage Industry (Coca Cola Bottling Company), Oil & Gas Industry (Element Six Production) and the Power Generation Industry (Eskom Generation). My expertise is in the area of asset integrity management, plant inspections and Risk Based Inspection. During this period, I have worked internationally in Germany (GEA- Air Cooled Condensers), South Africa and Ghana. I hold a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) and a BSc Mechanical Engineering degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. I am a registered Risk Based Inspection Professional & Examiner with the Steinbeis University Berlin/Steinbeis Transfer Institute Advanced Risk Technology, Germany. I am a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). I hold a Government Certificate of Competency license from the South Africa Department of Labour as a General Machinery Inspector/Certificated Engineer in accordance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. I am a registered member of the Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA), affiliated to Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) and a registered member of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), USA. I am an Assessor and Reviewer for the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) for the purpose of Professional Engineering Registration and I am also appointed by the Department of Labour as a Marker for the Government Certificate of Competency Examination (Plant Engineering). I am currently studying towards International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification from the International Institute of Welding (IIW) in collaboration with SAIW and University of Pretoria (BEng (Hons) in Metallurgical Engineering (Welding).
