Senior Reliability & Asset Integrity Engineer, Eskom Generation
Mr. Obiri-Agyei Boakye has over 15 years of experience in the field of mechanical and reliability engineering, which cuts across the mining industry (Anglogold Ashanti), beverage industry (Coca Cola Bottling Company), oil & gas industry (Element Six Production) and the power generation industry (Eskom Generation). His expertise is in the area of asset integrity management, plant inspections and Risk Based Inspection. During this period, he has worked internationally in Germany (GEA- Air Cooled Condensers), South Africa and Ghana. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) and a BSc in mechanical engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He is a registered risk-based inspection professional & examiner with the Steinbeis University Berlin/Steinbeis Transfer Institute Advanced Risk Technology, Germany. He is also a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). He holds a Government Certificate of Competency license from the South Africa Department of Labour as a certificated engineer in accordance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. He is a registered member of the Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA), affiliated to Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) and a registered member of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), USA. He is also an assessor and reviewer for the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) for the purpose of Professional Engineering Registration.
