Jeffrey is a twenty-two-year member of SMRP and has worked as a volunteer for the certification examination team since becoming certified in 2006. He was the section lead for the pillar four area of the Body of Knowledge until the position was retired. Jeffrey was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He was on the National Deans List in 1985. He is also a graduate of the Navy's Instructor Training School where he was an honor graduate and attained Master Training Specialist status. His career has included twenty years in the United States Navy Nuclear Power program. During his navy career he was heavily involved in training and testing of nuclear technicians. Since retiring from the Navy in 1994, Jeffrey has worked in manufacturing and commercial nuclear power where he is a certified instructor. It is this background that has cultivated the skill and experience to understand the analysis, design and development of test items. Jeffrey is the instructional design voice of conscience for the examination team. Working with the other team members and the director to construct the best possible certification examination to our membership. It is this desire that has compelled Jeffrey to design and develop this workshop to expand the question base of the certification examination
